Vietnam International Financial Centre Officially Launched in Da Nang, Strengthening the City’s High-Tech and Semiconductor Ecosystem

Da Nang, January 9, 2026 – The Vietnam International Financial Centre (IFC) in Da Nang was officially inaugurated on the afternoon of January 9, 2026, at Da Nang Software Park No. 2, marking a significant milestone in the city’s ambition to become a regional hub for finance, technology, and innovation.

The launch of IFC Da Nang represents an important step in Vietnam’s broader strategy to develop modern financial infrastructure aligned with high-value industries, particularly in the context of Da Nang’s emerging ecosystem in semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital technologies.

A Financial Pillar for a Growing Technology Cluster

Located within Da Nang Software Park No. 2, the International Financial Centre is positioned at the heart of a rapidly developing technology cluster that hosts research institutions, innovation centers, and high-tech enterprises. The centre is expected to provide advanced financial services, including investment finance, innovation financing, and fintech solutions, tailored to the needs of technology-driven industries.

As sectors such as semiconductors and AI require long-term capital, flexible financing instruments, and strong international connectivity, IFC Da Nang is widely viewed as a strategic complement to the city’s high-tech development model. Its establishment reflects a cluster-based approach that integrates finance, technology, and innovation, consistent with international best practices.

VSAP Lab Highlights at the IFC Inauguration

The inauguration ceremony also marked a memorable moment for VSAP Lab (Vietnam Semiconductor Advanced Packaging Lab-Fab), a specialized advanced semiconductor packaging center currently under development adjacent to the IFC complex.

Following the ceremony, representatives of VSAP Lab had the opportunity to briefly introduce the project’s implementation progress to Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee. The exchange highlighted VSAP Lab’s role in building a Lab-Fab model focused on advanced packaging technologies, contributing to Da Nang’s long-term semiconductor development strategy.

Notably, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam and former Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, visited the VSAP Lab team, sharing insights and offering encouragement. His visit was seen as a meaningful gesture of support for the ongoing efforts to develop an advanced packaging and semiconductor ecosystem in the city.

Strong Support from Central and Local Leadership

The attention and engagement from senior leaders of the Government and Da Nang authorities at the IFC inauguration underscored the high level of confidence in Da Nang’s strategic direction, particularly in developing core technologies and future-oriented industries. For VSAP Lab, this recognition serves as a significant source of motivation. The center remains committed to its mission of contributing to Vietnam’s semiconductor industrial capabilities, beginning with research, prototyping, workforce training, and gradual integration into global value chains.

Toward an Integrated Finance–Technology Ecosystem

The official launch of the Vietnam International Financial Centre in Da Nang, alongside the ongoing development of VSAP Lab and other AI and digital innovation initiatives at Software Park No. 2, signals a broader vision of creating a convergent ecosystem where finance and technology reinforce one another.

In this context, IFC Da Nang is expected to function not only as a financial services hub, but also as a catalyst—enabling high-tech projects to access capital, innovative financial instruments, and international networks essential for sustainable growth.

As Da Nang continues to position itself as a leading destination for high-tech investment and innovation in Vietnam, the inauguration of IFC Da Nang represents a key milestone in aligning financial infrastructure with the city’s long-term development in semiconductors, AI, and advanced technologies.
