VSAP Lab Celebrates the Topping-Out Ceremony of Its Lab–Fab Building – A Key Milestone in Vietnam’s Semiconductor Journey

On January 22, 2026, VSAP Lab officially held the Topping-Out Ceremony for its Lab–Fab building, marking a significant milestone in the development of its advanced semiconductor packaging research and prototyping facility in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The topping-out ceremony represents not only an important construction milestone, but also a symbolic moment reflecting the collective effort, resilience, and strong commitment of the VSAP Lab team throughout the project’s implementation. Despite the challenges associated with high technical requirements, tight schedules, and strict infrastructure and cleanroom standards, the project has steadily progressed thanks to the close collaboration between VSAP Lab, contractors, and partners.

The Lab–Fab building is envisioned as a core infrastructure platform supporting VSAP Lab’s development model—bringing together research, training, technology prototyping, and workforce development in the field of advanced semiconductor packaging. Once completed and operational, the facility will serve as a collaborative working space for engineers, researchers, and experts from Vietnam and abroad, while acting as a key node within the broader semiconductor ecosystem of Da Nang and Vietnam.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity for VSAP Lab to express its sincere appreciation to the engineers, staff, construction teams, designers, and partners whose dedication and behind-the-scenes contributions have been instrumental in bringing the project to this stage.

Looking ahead, VSAP Lab will continue to focus on completing the remaining construction and technical infrastructure works, while preparing equipment and human resources with the goal of bringing the Lab–Fab facility into operation in 2026. The project is expected to make a meaningful contribution to strengthening Vietnam’s semiconductor R&D and advanced packaging capabilities.

The topping-out ceremony marks an important step—but it is only the beginning of a longer journey ahead. With a strong spirit of innovation, collaboration, and long-term commitment, VSAP Lab remains determined to build sustainable “Lab–Fab” semiconductor capabilities in Vietnam.
